Regulatory Affairs Consultant.

MY ROLE

My role at Enviresearch involves project coordination, risk assessment, dossier completion and evaluation, as well as providing advice and support to industry regarding the registration of Plant Protection Products, Biocides and REACH substances across the UK and the European Union.

BACKGROUND/CAREER HISTORY

After completing my PhD where I specialised in the fabrication and characterisation of nanomaterials with applications in nanoscale electronics, I undertook a postdoctoral position investigating dynamic polymer film surfaces for pathogen capture. I then started working at Enviresearch, where I have gained experience providing pragmatic approaches to chemical registration and risk assessment as well as evaluating Technical Equivalence dossiers at the EU Member State level.

QUALIFICATIONS 

I have a PhD and MChem in Chemistry from Newcastle University.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS

Outside of work hours I enjoy travelling, eating, all things football and generally staying active.

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

Human health risk assessment, including; study reviews, exposure assessments and (Q)SAR analysis. Physical and chemical properties of products and substances as well as analytical methods and validation.
