IT Technician

My Role

I am responsible for all of the software and hardware requirements for the Enviesearch team. I identify and diagnose computer problems, monitor company IT systems, set up equipment, and ensure that everything works efficiently. I look after all aspects of IT usage and strive to resolve issues quickly. 

Specifically I look after: the servers, desktops, laptops, office365 administration for SharePoint, Teams and internet security including VPN, Hyper-V hosts and virtual machines.

Background/Career History

I started in working within the IT environment as a system support for Maersk UK, as part of a large team supporting all UK offices. I then Joined Newell Rubbermaid as a helpdesk administrator when I moved to the North East 17 years ago. I also worked for Newcastle University as a desktop support, where I met James, our Director, who offered me a position at Enviresearch. I was very honored to join James and the other Enviresearch staff as an IT Technician.

Qualifications

Microsoft qualifications for desktop support application and database administration.

Hobbies/Interests

I love taking my dog chester for long walks and visiting beautiful scenic places.  I have a passion for photography and run my own business, which I have received many awards for.

Server administration and Hyper-V specialist as well as office365 administration and implementation.
