Future Leader Fellowship Success

Congratulations to our very own Senior Ecotoxicologist here at Enviresearch, Dr Charles Hazlerigg, who has today been awarded a highly competitive Future Leaders Fellowship from UK Research & Innovation supported by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. This fellowship secures major investment over the next 4 years for Charles’ research into the use of mechanistic effects models in the environmental risk assessment of Plant Protection Products. We are delighted to be able to support Charles in his efforts to realise the potential of effects models and ultimately improve regulatory decision-making, to the benefit of farmers, the chemical industry, the public and the environment.

Revisions to Aged Sorption guidance published

The European Commission (EC) Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed (PAFF) officially noted and endorsed the Guidance document on aged sorptionfrom 1st April 2021.

The updated Aged Sorption guidance (Revision 1) has now been published on the EU Commission website under the Fate and Behaviour section. It will be applicable to all dossiers submitted under Regulation (EC) no 1107/2009 from 1st April 2022.
