Enviresearch is delighted to be a finalist at the Agrow Awards 2018. We have been nominated under the category of Best Supporting Role. This category award will recognise the company that has contributed most to the global crop protection industry through the provision of support services. The judges will be looking for a company that offers outstanding client support, excellence in service provision and a willingness to go the extra mile for its customers. Winners will be announced on the Awards evening to be held on the 12th November 2018.
Since the late 1990’s, the FOCUS modelling work group has been busy trying to ensure that risk assessments for surface water strike the right balance. The balances are on two axes. The first is ‘empirical’ against ‘mechanistic’ and the second is ‘realistic’ against ‘protective’. Neither balance is easy to strike and the working group has made an excellent job of producing a system that allows regulation to be based on science.
On one hand, the people have already voted for Brexit. On the other, nobody knew what Brexit meant when they voted. During the referendum debates, Brexiteers were able to promote emotional fantasies about the future outside the EU and Bremainers promoted an agenda based on the fear rather than the benefits of membership. Neither side was edifying. Fortunately, we now have a much better idea of what Brexit really means.
