Louise Pope

I joined Enviresearch in November 2011 as an Environmental Fate Scientist in the Risk Assessment team.  My role is to provide environmental modelling expertise to help assess the impacts of chemicals in the environment across a multitude of areas including; pesticides, biocides and general chemicals and to conduct regulatory environmental risk assessments. I have a particular interest in working in ‘problem’ areas where the risk assessment requires further refinement and higher tier modelling approaches.

I have experience working with a wide range of chemicals, such as veterinary medicines, pesticides, biocides and household and personal care products. My experience stems from working as an ecotoxicologist in Unilever and as a fate scientist in FERA, a UK government research laboratory.

I have a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Manchester, a MSc in Environmental Biogeochemistry from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and a PhD in Environmental Risk Assessment from the University of York.
