No Plant protection Product (PPP) and Biocide product may be placed on the market unless it has been authorised. The PPPs must be authorised in accordance with the provisions of Directive 91/414/EEC soon in according to the Regulation (EC) No1107/2009, and Biocides in accordance with provisions of Directive 98/8/EC. The producers and formulators responsible for the placing on the market of the products and their active substances must apply for authorisation and submit all necessary studies and other information needed for the assessments and the decision making.
The products authorization is a regulated process that requires specific data in appropriate formats. You must provide to the Competent Authority of the Member State where you intends to place your product a dossier addressing the following areas:
- Identity, Physical and Chemical Properties, and Analytical methods
- Residues
- Efficacy
- Human Health
- Environmental fate &Behaviour and Ecotoxicology
