Emma Grange, PhD
Environmental Team Leader
I joined the Enviresearch team in 2013 as a senior consultant specialising in risk assessment.
After obtaining a first class honours degree in chemistry from Imperial College and completing a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry at Bristol University, I went on to obtain an MSc in environmental biogeochemistry at Newcastle University.
I have a strong background in industrial chemistry, having worked in the chemicals manufacturing sector, then as a regulatory affairs scientist for a global corporation, before moving into consultancy work at Enviresearch.
With an interest in chemistry, environmental fate modelling, ecotoxicological risk assessment and regulatory compliance I am a cross-disciplinary specialist with particular enthusiasm for quality assurance and workflow management.
Outside of work I spend my free time tending to my garden, reading and going for walks along the north east coast. I also love camping and going to music festivals and have not yet entirely given up on learning to play a musical instrument.
